i made a mirror, painted the lists black and added some cornertighteners as decorations.

the one where i make more art nouveau-stuff.

i started making frames for my cousin's mucha-posters. luckily we got some free woodmaterial from school that i decided to modify to match the posters better. i wanted to keep the art nouveau-style in the frames too so i painted the frames with a shimmery, translucent gold. i painted the base with white acrylic paint.

in the pictures above there's one layer of gold. i ended up painting the frames three times for the result i was aming for.

it is such a pain in the a** trying to photograph anything at this time of year in finland, there's just no light! and i really, really don't want to use flash.

i'm really happy how they turned out.

the one where i make mass production.

made a set out of some graphic postcards i found at a fair in helsinki. all the lists were leftovers so i had to fix them up first. i painted all of them white and put some colorful passepartouts.

i started making christmas presents, and these are for my cousin. she really likes all things jugend and art nouveau so i guess she'll find these acceptable. the one with the black framelists was a bit tough to put together as the lists were really narrow, again! the one with the gold-ish frames were actually silvery first, but i put some fingergold on them.

i really like this blog, mike mitchell's tumblr of amazing things. this man frames his own graphics and customizes the framelists with carvings and stuff. such an inspiration to me. check it out.

i framed my own painting, i actually really like the outcome. i don't like my photographing skills, though.

the one where i get annoyed.

the first one is fantastic mr. fox, my hero. the one below was something i made out of leftover framelists, so i had to fix those A LOT. i got really annoyed 'cause the lists were covered with some slippery paint so the fixingpaste wouldn't stick. you can see how ugly it looks on the back. learning at least how to control my nerves...

the one where my mother picks her father's nose.

photoframing. was a bit different way of doing this, the gluepaper had to be folded to make these little pockets so that the photo itself wouldn't be glued. sorry for the quality of the pics, i had a bit shaky hands.
